We flew out of Minneapolis on May 25th on Condor Airlines to Frankfurt, Germany. It is known locally as Frankfurt am Main. Condor is an affiliate of Lufthansa and it was a really nice experience. They gave us ear plugs, eye masks, pillows, blankets and real food! Although they did serve us breakfast at 4 am.

We planned to spend a few days resting up from the jet lag and have not regretted that decision! One of my first observations in Frankfurt is that not everything on the menu labelled Frankfurter is a sausage! In this case it was a herbal green sauce that was ladled over schnitzel.

Frankfurt is a very modern city with many highrises and some very old architecture. Here are a few of our photos:
